Player Research (Brighton, UK) are award-winning providers of user experience (UX) research services to the international video games industry. As part of the global Keywords group, we’re enjoying international growth and success, helping video game development studios better understand their players.

We’re seeking an experienced Account Manager to build and maintain strong relationships with our clientbase of global game development studios.

You will take a leading role in helping our agency secure and plan our research, working alongside our expert games research staff. You’ll maintain strong relationships with our varied clients across Europe and North America, becoming their trusted point-of-contact for commissioning essential research studies (‘playtests’) on their video games throughout development.

You will not only need to proactively develop client relationships, but also identify growth opportunities on your accounts, and seek client feedback to constantly improve customer experience.

The ideal candidate would have experience developing B2B relationships, designing and maintaining communication processes, and working with interdisciplinary teams to deliver quality customer experience in an agency/consultancy.

The role is based in central Brighton – close to Brighton station – with the potential for flexible work once settled into the role. Work closely with our clients, sales team and researchers to perfect our research consultancy sales pipeline and processesInitiate lead generation activities

Understand and improve our internal business communications to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction

Communicate with stakeholders at all levels, including creatives and C-level

Develop a relationship with our international client base, becoming a trusted advisor

Build a network of key contacts within our existing and prospective clients

Ongoing tracking of client/project statuses

Basic Qualifications

Proven account management experience, ideally in B2B

Track record of project ownership, self-determination and independent working

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Proficiency in MS Office (or equivalent)

Preferred But Non-Essential Skills

Experience of company process design, and/or complete ownership of client relations in an SME

Knowledge of product development, R&D or principles of research

Knowledge of video games as a consumer, or of game development processes

Existing contacts or influence in the global video games development industry

BA/BSc or other advanced degree

Proficiency with CRM (Salesforce, Pipedrive), accounting (Xero, NetSuite) or scheduling software (ResourceGuru, CoreTime)

Professional proficiency in a second language, ideally French
